I wear a back brace for scoliosis, can i still get my belly button peirced?

I have to wear a back brace for my scoliosis. I only wear it at night. Do you think this will interfere with me getting my navel peirced? Its not that tight around my stomach area.. in less im like taking a deep breath.

Can a back brace for scoliosis make you skinier?

I have scoliosis and I need to use a back brace and I was wondering since it tightens in your stomach area if it can make you skinnier?
