I am 8 months pregnant with severe back pain. My doc has put me on bed rest because of my edema and it feels as though the longer I sit or lay the worse my back hurts. What can I do? I feel as though I am in a no win situation.

Ive recently been having severe back pain that comes and goes. Mainly is here more often then not. I have a hard time bending over. Stretching makes it worse. Do I see my family physician and she will refer me to someone else or what other doctor do I go to for this?

I am about 5 weeks pregnant. With my daughter I had severe back pain but it wasn’t until the second trimester? Is it possible to have severe back pain during the first trimester? Anyone experience this? Yes, I had back pain with my first but not this soon.
