I’m going to be starting independent studies soon which means I will be spending a lot of my time at my desk on my computer or doing homework, this is all well and good except my computer chair is incredibly uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time. It has even caused me to have back pain over time. Can you help me find a comfortable chair that will support being in for long hours? My price range is about 0-0, maybe a little more if you think it’s worth it. Thanks

Sorry that I’m putting this in health, but maybe some of you have issues with your back as well and have a preference of chairs you like

I was in a car accident 3 year ago and my back was injured. I had 4 months of physical therapy and started taking jobs that I could sit all day. I have alot of pain when I have to stand for long periods of time. I’m starting a new job tomorrow that will require me to stand for 8 hours a day and I need some ideas to help reduce back pain. Are there any braces I can get? Should I try to get on painkillers? Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

What kind of medication could I talk to my doctor about regarding such an issue? Something that can relieve or possibly numb the pain but keep me coherent during extended periods of standing still? (like orthodox church services for example, which can last as long as 6 hours during the week of easter)

I am wondering how long it has taken people to heal from this.I basically have been living my life in discomfort since it started.I was working in a factory doingheavy lifting and I didn’t quit when I should have and ended up working through the pain. I was diagnosed with a stress fracture soon after leaving, then after 3 months was put in a big white brace that i stopped wearing after an additional 3 months and am now at 9-month point since having stopped the lifting and while i can feel my back has gotten a lot better it still hurts to sit or stand for long periods of time. This injury has been/is destroying my life and at this point i just want to know if anyone has been through something like this before and if it healed/how long it took?
BTW, i have been swimming a lot and doing excerises like pull ups and pushups and crunches to try to speed up the healing process.I took physical therapy way back around the time this was diagnosed and it didnt help at all, but i’m thinking about wether to go back to give it another try since I’m being told that when i took the therapy, the fracture was in an acute stage that wouldn’t have benefited from anything but rest at the time anyway.
any help would be much appreciated.thanks
by the way, i am 19
