I found a 1997 acura integra LS for $1,750 is it a good deal?

I found the car at the dealership where I bought my last car. its a 5-speed LS that looks like it has a decent interior and exterior. I want to buy it, rebuild the engine and sell it. But I don’t know much about Acura/Hondas. so I was wondering if this was even worth the effort. it has:

Have it checked by a competent mechanic first. If OK and you still want to buy it offer them $1,500.00.
    That’s a fair price.
They probably got it on trade and probably paid about $800.00.
See if they have the service records, most good dealers request them if you trade a car in.

Acuras are good dependable cars. I also owned a 97 (bought new) and kept it 11 years. I traded it in in 2008 with apprx. 91k on the odometer.
They’re also pretty safe, you wouldn’t think so based on their size but they’re pretty solid and have a lot of safety features.

I had a serious accident about three years into owning the car. Women in a big Dodge Ram pickup pulled out from a stop sign directly in front of me. I t-boned her doing about 40mph. Both my air bags went off and I walked away without a scratch. The poor pickup was pushed across the road into a ditch.
Did about 12k worth of damage to my car but it was repaired at a Acura certified body shop and they did an awesome job. The car drove just like it did before the accident. They used all Acura parts.

I give the Acura thumbs up. There’s tons of them out there with high mileage. They just keep going and going.

talk them down to like 1300 atleast.
than get a b18 motor and a vtec head, cold air intake and exaust

motor and head low millage and clean….. around $ 3,000
cold air intake…. 200-400 for a decent one
    exaust…. 200-500 decent one
if your looking to fix up a car get one that already have vtec.
acura integra ls has about 135 hp stock
scura integra type r vtec has about 200 +
