Will the warranty for my Explorer XLT cover the lumbar support in the drivers seat?
I bought an Explorer XLT with the Factory warranty, that is still in effect, plus the extended warranty, which is Ford’s version of the bumper to bumper. My question is this, the lumbar support int he driver’s seat seems to have broken, will the warranty cover that? and how do they fix it, does the seat have to be replaced or what?
I don’t want to say anything to my husband yet b/c he will hit the rough, it’s only a few weeks old!
Plus, does anyone know if these lumbar supports aren’t really made to be used, more for just saying it has it? Like I said, it’s only a few weeks old and it already broke. But I really like a firm chari on my back!
Thanks for any help!
If it is only a few weeks old, this is a mechanical part that for whatever reason has failed. THis is definealty covered under the warranty, Read the warranty book for sure as a lot of interior ites are 90 day. this is mechanical and is not upholstery related…
it should cover it but there may be a deductable, you will have to read your warrenty paperwork to be sure
It should be covered , especially if it is only a couple of days old. Ford’s " bumper to bumper" covers alot, but you really need to read your paperwork on it or even just call Ford because in all reality there is no such thing as a bumper to bumper policy.
