According to a study in the 90's, almost 2/3 of the population have disc bulges, herniations, etc. Most have no symptoms at all.

I had a subluxation in my lower spine from lifting weights incorrectly for years. 100 chiropractor appts.reduced my pain level down to 2/10 from 8/10. I then went to a physical therapist for a few meetings. He simply pressed down on the injured spot which lowered the pain to 1/10. His recommended exercises didn't seem to make any difference.

I then found on Youtube a wrestler's backbrdiging exercise where you arch as high as possible always trying to get the nose as close to the floor as possible and holding that position. This reduced my pain to less than 1/10. Backbridging may have been all I needed. Creating traction by holding myself up on the edge of a counter and suspending my lower body was also very effective.
