    @LegPains Yah, tons of MRI’s and I’ve also had x-rays. Acupunture, chiropracty, you name it. The book by John Sarno was the most helpful thing I came across in terms of long term pain reduction.

    @itrainsinoctober

    what specificially did your Low back MRI say ? and what specifically did your Back and neck X rays state ?

  3. itrainsinoctober says:

    @LegPains It was quite awhile ago. I remember the MRI showed a ruptured disc but I don’t recall what the x-ray looked like. The pain was so severe at one point that I was laying on the floor in the fetal position.

    @mikkelchap For pain management, what I found to be most effetive was 800mg ibuprofen, 3x a day. If that doesn’t work, there are stronger painkillers that may be necessary. As I mentioned to the other guy, have you read Healing Back Pain by John Sarno. You can read reviews of the book on Amazon. Unless you have a spine tumor or have gotten run over by a train, I would highly recommend reading this book before having any type of surgical procedure. I’ve had 2 laminectomies.

    if you had sharp shooting type pain, than our symptoms are completely different as my Leg Pains are very dull heavy and sore feeling, never a sharp pain

  6. itrainsinoctober says:

    @LegPains Yah, I had dull pain, not very intense, before my first surgery. It was only in one of my calfs. The really acute, agonizing pain occurred many years later, before my second surgery.

  7. itrainsinoctober says:

    @LegPains Yah, I had dull pain before my first surgery but really intense pain before the second one. This is a repeat post because I’m not sure if my last comment posted on youtube.

    I had an X-ray and I had nerve being pinched and it showed a couple other things. I was told to take “Aleve” by my doctor and that’s all he could really tell me. I’ve gone to all types of manual practitioners, physio, osteopath, chiro, massage, and they’ve all been great, but not ideal. Osteopath is probably the best if you can find a good one.
    If you get any info let me know.

    i saw a Body worker today who is Not a Dr. but he gave me the most intelligent logical and common sense based diagnosis ive heard in 14 yrs of dealing with this condition . Much more than all the dr.s combined !

    I havent seen an Osteopath yet though, massage therapists and Chiropractors ive tried extensively and found them both to be completely Worthless and a waste of Money and time

  10. mikkelchap says:

    @LegPains

    What does he have to say?? Share the wealth [of information]!!

  11. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    He said the reason most Physical Therapies Fail is because most Doctors have no intellectual depth or true Understanding of the Anatomy of the Human Body. And the reason Many Drs Recommend surgery is because they also dont Understand the complex intricate interdependence of Body Parts and how every single Part of your body, effects every other part, so because they dont know how to restore, they just remove the parts

  12. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    For instance ; my L5 S1 disc is bulging and protruding. The Physical Therapist and Doctor is simply trained to ‘ treat’ that 1 single isolated area as the problem and totally Neglects the fact that my Disc being out of position is ONLY a symptom of a much larger complex problem which is that EVERYTHING is out of alignment so just trying to get the disc back in postion is IMPOSSIBLE unless you treat the entire body head to toe

  13. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    example,

    if a Physical Therapist or Dr has as his or her only goal to JUST focus on the L5 S1 disc as the core of the problem and Treat it in isolation , but neglects to examine the persons Feet, which is foundation than that program is doomed to fail, as the feet form the foundation and base support system for every other part , legs, hips, spine, neck etc. its ALL interdependent and connected and Drs miss that

  14. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    Whats amazing is that even before i showed him my X rays, he could tell as soon as i walked in the door and told me that my ENTIRE body from head to toe was out of Alignment and what he said about my having Scoliosis , and my head tipping fwd and leaning to the right was just what the X rays already showed.

    He was the only one who could tell that about me just by sizing me up visually without the X rays !

  15. mikkelchap says:

    @LegPains

    You pretty much summed up my experience with a good osteopath. I think you should go and see a couple different ones to tell if you like them. They’re exactly your style.

    I’m gonna try that Posterior Pelvic Tilt section of this:

    tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/hips_dont_lie_fixing_your_force_couples

    See what happens.

  16. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    what specifically would an Osteopath do to treat a condition like ours ?

  17. mikkelchap says:

    @LegPains

    They’ve had four years working on/with the body. They will assess and work on you and your specific case.
    You might go in and he would recognize you aren’t putting pressure on one side of your body and they would figure out why and what would have made you do that. They will get to the bottom of the problem and treat every symptom accordingly. The one I went to was great.

  18. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    ive had my Condition now for 14 yrs and i finally figured out the true Cause of it which is my mis aligned spine and 2 of my discs are bulging causing pinched nerves.

    So i guess my main question is are Osteopaths effective at putting the Spine back into its proper shape and alignment ? because its safe to say that as long as my spine goes back into its proper shape my pain will go away as i never had this condition until then

  19. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    Since i now realize that chiropractic is a fraud and has never helped me , im wondering what the Main difference is between a Physical therapist and an Osteopath ?

    and which one is more suited to treat a condition like Mine

  20. LegPains says:

    @mikkelchap

    also what about an Orthopedic dr ?

  21. itrainsinoctober says:

    As I mentioned before, the John Sarno book was the best thing I came across.You can probably get it from your local library if you don’t want to purchase it. But I’m starting to understand that some people aren’t ready for the type of info that the book offers.

  22. itrainsinoctober says:

    Oh, he actually has 2 books. The one I read the most is called “Healing Back Pain”.

  23. mikkelchap says:

    @LegPains

    I can’t really answer that. It is all specific to every person and every case. I am still in pain after going to every specialist I can think of, watching all these videos, messaging the authors of the videos, so I don’t really have a solution even for myself. I know an osteopath assessed me and didn’t look at my disc bulge and say, ‘that is the problem.” He looked and figured out what was causing the problem and worked to fix that. PM me and we can chat and not fill this board.

  24. LegPains says:

    @itrainsinoctober

    what is in the Sarno book ?

  25. itrainsinoctober says:

    @LegPains You can just read the reviews of the Sarno book on Amazon.
