What kind of doctor shold I see for my lower back pain?
I’ve been having lower back pain for more than a month. Usually, I feel pain only when I sit on a chair for many hours or when I bent my back. The pain gets worse sometimes though and I feel pain in my lower back no matter what I do in those days. Could you tell me what kind of doctor I should go to? I don’t want to take pain medicine since I’m trying to get pregnant. I like to fix the bottom of my back problem.
See a good Chiropractor – it is a good idea to get one off a local insurance list, even if you plan to pay yourself.
It takes about 8-10 times total. Don’t be afraid to call a few and ask how many times, what it costs, if they treat the first time (they should) and what experience they have.
I agree. You should see a chiropractor.
Or maybe a doctor if you suspect the wrong positioning of joints.
I know exactly what you are going through. I have been having lower back pains constantly for almost a month, and for over the past 25 years off an on. I have a herniated disc and it is currently being treated with steroids, which is administered by a pain management physician. I have seen a chiropractor, but I find that treatment gives no relief. I am one step away from having to go to a surgeon.
I would suggest allowing your regular doctor to recommend a specialist. Your back problem may be worse than you think. I would also have them give you an MRI. That will let the doctor know what is going on in your back.
See a good chiropractor – he can help realign your spinal vertebrae and get the pressure off the spinal nerves that are causing the pain. Ask around among your friends and family – someone will know of one in the area – They help during pregnancy, too – when you back gets stressed because of the baby weight – and after labor – when your bady has been super stressed. Mine kept me from having to have back surgery! Good luck –
