What could be causing my lower back pain on only one side?

I had a baby 4 months ago and ever since I was pregnant I have had this lower back pain on my right side. It’s like a burning stabbing feeling. I don’t have any numbness in my leggs or feet. I also got checked for a kidney infection and I don’t have one. Could this be a pinched nerve? Is there anything I can do at home to heal it?

when a person is pregnant, their hips spread… this can cause your spine to become out of balance with your pelvis… after having the baby, the pelvis does not return to the pre-pregnancy state. i would consult a massage therapist and explain to them what is going on… they would definitely be able to help you…

I had lower back pain on the right side recently (not due to pregnancy) and went to a chiropractor. I was a bit skeptical, but really needed to do something. It got to the point where I felt like I could hardly move. My spine was out of balance and through numerous chiropractor visits as well as specific stretches, I feel 100% better. Occasionally I get pain, but through stretching, it goes away quickly. I would recommend doing lower back stretches and also work on strengthening your core muscles (abs). Good luck and hope you get rid of the pain.

One question for you that I just thought of – do you hold your baby on the right side always? Maybe you could be straining that side.
