Hi Everyone :
Tow months ago, i injured my back at work. I was pushing a patient who weight 600 pounds and he was on a specialy bed. So the total weight was about 1500 pounds. I had sever pain. i went To the ER and I had the X ray done, everything looked ok. Doctor said sprain muscles. during this two months I had in a sever pain… I have an MRI Done yesterday , my doctor said that my spinal looks ok. the result said :
Transitional anatamoy lumbroscal junction at L5- S1 which places rundemntary disc at S2-S1. Prior interventio, close correlation plain film is advised.
Minimal Facet arthopathy with no stenosis.
the rest of the lumbar spine is normal.
I am so worry, because I have sever pain especialy when i lye down on my back or in my side. also i can not be standing more than 5 minutes , or sitting down for about 15 minutes.
thank you
Numbness is bad, usually means something is pressing on a nerve. Nerve damage is not reversible so get 2-3 opinions- do not ignore this. Shoot me an email if you want to discuss more and include your tel # if you wanna chat.
I had 2 herniated discs my L5 and S1 my S1 was completely herniated out of place, the x-rays showed a slight bulge, the MRI showed some herniation, the discography verified my L5 and S1 were herniated, it wasn’t until I had to have lumbar spinal fusion that the surgeon saw the severity of my back. I had pain and numbness down my right leg, I was loosing my reflexes, and most days my husband had to put my socks on for me. There really isn’t a whole lot that you can do for the pain besides mind numbing narcotic painkillers. Here are a couple things to help you from doing more harm to your back. Bend with your knees, not at the waist, don’t turn at the waist, turn your whole body, don’t sit on anything that doesn’t touch the back of your knees or higher,m and try not to lift anything heavy. Don’t give up, if your doctor doesn’t want to help find a spine specialist that will, I hope you feel better soon.
