I have a question about Chronic Lower Back Pain?

I fell down a flight of stairs two years ago and I have been having lower back pain ever since. My doctor told me that i have sacral, SIJ and somatic lumbar dysfunction….What does all this mean, i have no clue what all of this stuff means? Thanks

Sacral is refering to your sacrum, which basically is at the bottom of your spine (your tail bone basically). Just above the butt cheeks it joins to the pelvic bones which is refered to as your SIJ or Sacro-Iliac Joint.

So, he is trying to say low back nerve pressure. I don’t know why he wouldn’t just speak in english?

But anyway, to help align the spine I would use a low back rest like the slim back rest http://www.arc4life.com/site/615058/page/663714
I would use heat or ice I believe someone else mentioned, and you may also want to see a chiropractor unless that’s the doctor you’re already seeing http://www.ctbackdr.com.

Good luck. I hope I was of some help.

Can’t tell u what that means…that’s your doctor’s job! But I can tell u I’ve had real bad back pain for a few years until my orthpoedic surgeon recommended thermal back supports for better posture & pain relief while healing.
