Sweet Video, i have lower back pain, and when i at the gym lifting weights it really hurts, i’m not sure if this is my spine, or my actually lower back muscles. what do you recommend?

Without a proper examination, it is too hard to tell. Could be many things. Muscles, discs, alignment, combination of them. Proper treatment would be dictated by examination outcomes. Sorry to be so vague, but I do not want you to waste time or money on something that may or may not help you. what city / state are you in? Perhaps I can find someone near you to do a complete evaluation.

Thank you SO freaking much. I had some baaad muscle spams yesterday morning and they seemed to feel better whn i walked so i walked a couple miles on the treadmill -BIG mistake- and it felt sooo much better. i went to bed and i felt fine! when i woke up though, the pain was EXCRUCIATING. i couldnt even sit to go to the bathroom, no painrelivers or anti inflamitories helped but these excercises did! they hurt a little at first but now its fine. hopefully for good this time!

Could be many factors, some can be serious. If it is a stretching pain, I would not be too concerned, If it is s sharp pain, then it may be something more seriously wrong. Get a complete examination from a good chiropractor. they can rule out any problems you may be suffering with. It might be an alignment issue, which is what chiro’s are experts in correcting.

well i had a pulled muscle so the doctor gave me muscle relaxers and pain killers, but after i still was in pain (not as much as before) but still could go on with my everyday activities(with the exception of lift weights) so i was wondering if these activites are good for me, im pretty sure its still just really sore or just cramped up im 15 and this occoured from over excercising thanks!

  10. healthybackdoc says:

@shaniel111 I’d get checked by a chiropractor. They are better trained to determine if it is just a muscle, or if it is something more serious. Without an examination it is impossible to say if these stretches are a good idea. Try them at your own risk, and see if they help, if not, STOP!

@healthybackdoc your glute stretch is dangerous for the knee if not craddled. to be honest just sitting on a bench; hands over head, and lean foward is more effective as safer. I think Dr’s need to humble there ” medicine practices” before they casue more damage.

  13. healthybackdoc says:

@vitinoaskedwhy – - If you use enough force to hurt your knee doing the glute stretch you are doing it wrong. If you have a pre-existing knee injury, than anything you do can aggravate it including standing too long. this stretch can and has helped many people. As always use caution and sound judgment before attempting any stretch or exercise.
