Doctors don't believe my back pain :(?
Okay well my back pain started in my cervical spine when I was 11, almost 12. About half a year later I was diagnosed with scoliosis (doctors did an x-ray of thoracic spine). Now I’m 15 and the pain is everywhere in my back (cervical, thoracic, lumbar). I begged my doctor to do an MRI, and at first he didn’t but after a couple of months of repeatably calling him and telling him please do an MRI, he agreed to an MRI of my thoracic and lumbar spine. I got my results back and they are normal
Not that i want a back problem, but I have SEVERE pain, I can barely walk right and I can’t sleep in a bed, only in a recliner. Please help, I’m not making it up, my back hurts so bad and every night I cry. Please help me, I just want my life back ![]()
Medical Marijuana would alleviate a lot of your pain but not that many people want to be stoned all day long. You should also get a different opinion from another doctor. Not every physician is perfect and he/she definitely could have missed something that was clearly wrong with your back. good luck.
You definitely need a second opinion. There are thousands of doctors out there. There is no reason you should be at the mercy of a single one. If you’re unhappy with the service he provided you, please go find another one. There’s no reason for you to live with this kind of pain without seeking alternate doctors and diagnoses. Hopefully you can find one more willing to work with you and possibly even refer you to a neurologist.
I hope that helped, and I hope you feel better. Good luck
I doubt your MRI looking "normal", beeing diagnosed with scoliosis.
Get an x-ray, while you are standing up, when you lay on your back, the spine doesn’t show the curves. And, it has to be one x-ray of the complete spine, otherwise it’s not possible to get exact curve degrees.
Scoliosis tends to worsen with growth, you might need a brace and physiotherapy. Try "Katharina-Schroth-Exercises"
