can slightly herniated discs cause back pain?

I have already had 2 back surgeries for herniated discs which has left me with chronic lumbar pain. My most recent MRI has shown I have 2 more slightly buldging discs. My pain feels as if it has gotten worse. Can slightly herniated discs cause pain?

Pinched muscles in your back is going to cause you pain. Pinched muscles in your back left pinched is going to herniate the discs. You have to have something pulling on the back for anything to herniate and tight muscles are going to do that for you. Once you release the muscles the back can return to it’s normal place. If you don’t get the muscles released you are doomed to have more of the same pains. Here is how to release the muscles in your back and one for the lumbar as well for you may need that:
    Back:
    (do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
    Lower Back, Lumbar:
While sitting place your hands behind your body just above the buttocks and press in on the muscles next to the spine and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your self forward as far as you can. Then release the pressure but hold your body there for another 30 seconds. Move a few inches down and do it again and keep repeating until you reach the end of your tailbone.
Before doing this take a deep breath and exhale, then try to keep your body this relaxed for best results.

Easiest answer is yes, even a slightly herniated disc causes pain. Rehab/physiotherapy is an idea if you haven’t tried already.

    Good luck!

Absolutely yes! A herniated disc is a common back condition that leads to irritation of spinal nerves and can cause back and leg pain.

Unfortunately it can. I know how you feel when you’re in pain and the doctors don’t give any good advice. After about 3-4 months just sitting around I searched the internet and found some good info that really helped me. If you want you can check out my article on how i lost my back pain
Hope you can find it useful
