Will I need physical therapy after I get my back brace for scoliosis off?

I have been wearing back brace for scoliosis for the past 3 and a half years. When I take my brace off, my back gets tired and it is weaker because my brace has been keeping it straight, and up right for so long. I am hoping to get it off soon. Does anyone know if I will need physical therapy once I get my brace off? I wouldn’t mind, I was just wondering if this is common. Thank you in advance!!

    you may.
    everyone’s body is different.
I didnt but I only had to wear my brace for 6 months.
Talk to your doctor and see what s/he says.
It usually depends on how much strength you have once it’s off.

if your orthopedist is optimistic -you should be, too!! don’t forget that yoga, chiropractic, massage, and swimming will strengthen your muscles, too.

I also currently wear a back brace for Scoliosis. I have had physical therapy before for my Scoliosis. Basically, they just gave me stretches for my back to help strengthen it. I had a good experience with the physical therapist. I have created a Scoliosis website at http://scoliosisstories.webs.com/. If you want to, you should check it out. Good luck!
